Delivery

We do not use carriers because we have not found any who will operate from our remote North Northumberland eyrie at a reasonable cost and with good reliability, so we deliver ourselves which means we are restricted to anywhere in Northumberland or Tyneside – basically if you have a postcode starting with NE then you are close enough, if not then we are sorry but we can’t deliver to you, you will have to visit Rothbury!

We will contact you when your order is ready for despatch and arrange a time when you will be home to receive the order.

Please note that it is an offence to sell alcohol to anyone under the age of 18 or for anyone under 18 to buy or attempt to buy alcohol. It is also an offence to buy alcohol on behalf of anyone under 18.  By placing your order you confirm that you are over 18 years of age.  If there is no-one at home to receive the order who is over the age of 18 then we cannot complete the delivery.  If our representative is unsure of the age of the person receiving the delivery then proof of ID in the form of a passport or driving licence will be required.

We reserve the right to substitute a wine of a different vintage or an equivalent wine of equal or greater value if the wine you request is out of stock.

Any claim for non-delivery must be made within one month of the order.

Refunds and Returns

If you are unhappy with the wine for whatever reason, then provided you let us know within 7 days you may cancel the order and return the goods to us for a refund.  We will refund the cost of the wine, or replace it with another wine of similar value. We will not refund the cost of delivery.  If there is a problem with the wine we will refund or replace it provided not more than one bottle has been opened, if you have opened or consumed several bottles then we will only refund or replace the unused ones.

By buying our products through this website you confirm that you are accepting these terms.

We try to ensure that this website is correct and up to date, but we accept no liability for any reliance placed upon the information contained in it, and we reserve the right to change, substitute or replace any information at any time.  We also accept no liability for the content of any website to which we have links or for any loss suffered by anyone relying on such information.

We need to collect data about you to process your order and effect your delivery.  We will not share that data with any other persons or organisations and will use it only for the purpose of delivering to you goods and information about our services.

The prices quoted are inclusive of VAT.  Goods may be paid for my Mastercard, Visa, debit and Switch cards or by personal cheques made out to Rothbury Wines.  In the case of goods ordered by credit card we will only deliver to the address at which the card is registered and must be signed for on delivery
